Raychel Minasain, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

"Clinical values that I hold are collaboration on what goals each client has for themselves and relating to clients, helping them to feel seen, heard, and believed."

About Me...

"I have been practicing in the social work field since 2018 and joined the Center for Positive Change in 2020. I have a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Social Work from Indiana University South Bend. After completing my education, I became a licensed clinical social worker. I previously specialized in substance abuse for the first three years of my career, including obtaining training in medication-assisted treatment, facilitating substance abuse groups, and engaging in community research, resulting in publications with various journals. This greatly influenced the way I perceive family and community dynamics. My current focus of treatment is on adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse, and I have a special interest in working with mothers. I utilize various treatment methods including, but not limited to, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and mindfulness. I typically approach counseling with a trauma-informed, client-centered mindset, ensuring the individual is comfortable and prepared for the desired changes in their lives. One of the most important things in a counseling relationship is a genuine connection and willingness to be open and honest. Feedback is crucial to the process and always welcomed."
